こんにちは!Welcome to My Sekai Classroom!
A Japanese Living in Australia Teaching Japanese.
My name is Keita – a Japanese guy living in Australia, teaching Japanese.
I came to Australia to improve my English in 2009. Growing up in a small city in Japan, I’ve always wanted to live abroad. I was also interested in improving English and learning something new. This led me to an idea of becoming a Japanese teacher somewhere outside of Japan.
After arriving in Australia, I did my general English course and then eventually completed my teaching degree. Since then, I have been teaching Japanese for more than 10 years.

My Language Learning Journey
When I just came to Australia, I could express basic ideas although my English was not good enough to have a long conversation. As I have been living in Australia for quite some time now, it got better. I still make mistakes and have moments where I find it hard to express my ideas effectively. I am still in the middle of my language learning journey!
Outputting My Findings
So here I am – a non-native English speaker, living in Australia teaching Japanese, writing in English. I want My Sekai Classroom to be a place where I output my findings.
Hopefully, my findings can benefit others and as I keep writing, my writing will improve!
